Landlord compliance is not usually exciting content. That was the problem. Life Stay needed a short-form video that could take a serious property topic and turn it into something landlords would actually stop and watch. The objective was to create a social media video that educated London landlords about property compliance risks while driving them towards a clear lead generation action: downloading Life Stay’s free landlord compliance guide. ODGRAIN created a vertical short-form video built specifically for mobile-first platforms. The video opened with a strong attention-grabbing hook aimed directly at London landlords, using bold captions, high-energy delivery and exaggerated visual storytelling to highlight the cost of getting compliance wrong. Instead of making the video feel like a formal property lecture, the creative direction used humour and contrast. The first half focused on the stress, fines and risk of not staying compliant. The second half shifted into a lighter, more memorable visual idea — showing the presenter in a holiday-style setting to represent peace of mind, no property drama and a more relaxed landlord experience. This contrast helped simplify the message: compliance first, peace later. The video also used bold text overlays, scene changes, meme-style pacing, visual cutaways and a direct download call-to-action to keep viewers engaged until the end. The final frame promoted a free guide, making the video part of a wider landlord lead generation funnel rather than just a standalone social media post. The result was a clear, entertaining and campaign-ready property marketing video designed to help Life Stay attract landlords, build trust and generate more qualified interest through educational content. A serious compliance message, turned into scroll-stopping landlord content.
ODGRAIN helped us turn a serious landlord compliance topic into a video that felt clear, engaging and easy to understand. The final content captured attention quickly, explained the risk to landlords in a simple way and gave us a strong call-to-action for our free compliance guide. It was exactly the kind of social media content we needed to support our property marketing and lead generation.
